📌 About the Role
IFC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Investment Officer (SIO) to join its Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Transaction Advisory team in Dakar, Senegal. This critical role will focus on developing and executing infrastructure and privatization projects across 13 West African countries, working closely with governments to design and implement high-impact PPP transactions that attract private sector investment.
🛠️ Responsibilities
- Originate and lead PPP advisory transactions in West Africa.
- Develop and manage relationships with government agencies and stakeholders.
- Lead project structuring, financial modeling, market sounding, and tender processes.
- Manage multi-disciplinary teams and external consultants (legal, technical, financial).
- Support project negotiations, final structuring, and deal closing.
- Work across the World Bank Group to integrate policy, institutional, and regulatory reforms.
- Mentor and lead junior staff in both technical and strategic capacities.
- Contribute to strategic planning and business development initiatives for PPP and Corporate Finance services in the region.
🎯 Requirements
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in PPP transaction advisory, project finance, or investment banking.
- Strong deal execution track record in infrastructure/PPP projects (sell-side or buy-side).
- 3–4 years of M&A advisory experience preferred.
- Deep understanding of legal frameworks and risk allocation in PPP contracts.
- Excellent client relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams on complex transactions.
- Fluency in English required; knowledge of French strongly preferred.
- Willingness to travel frequently and operate across multiple West African countries.
