📋 About the Project
This role supports the Agribusiness Facility for Africa (ABF), a regional initiative that strengthens rural micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through training and advisory on business models and climate-smart agriculture. Together with the MOVE project, ABF co-implements the EU’s Business Support Facility for Resilient Agricultural Value Chains. The project focuses on enhancing agricultural value chains (AVCs) — maize, cashew, cocoa, and livestock — across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific.
🎯 Your Role
As Regional Agribusiness Advisor, you will lead technical workstreams focused on training, digital learning, and value chain resilience. You’ll collaborate with partners across Francophone Africa, support blended training programs, and help establish the International Agribusiness Practitioners Association (IAPA) as part of ABF’s long-term exit strategy.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Technically co-lead the Advisory Helpdesk, with focus on Francophone partner countries.
- Deliver training via e-learning, blended formats, and in-person sessions for MSMEs, cooperatives, and agripreneurs.
- Support the development and launch of the International Agribusiness Practitioners Association (IAPA).
- Lead capacity-building events, including webinars and Master Training Programmes.
- Contribute to monitoring and evaluation through surveys and learning adaptation studies.
- Backstop Matching Grant Fund (DPP) activities and manage implementation support to private sector partners.
- Coordinate with ANADER (Côte d’Ivoire) and other key regional stakeholders.
✅ What You’ll Need
- Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in agribusiness training, value chain development, and farmer/MSME support.
- Strong background in gender-transformative approaches and capacity development.
- Familiarity with GIZ tools like Farmer Business School (FBS), Cooperative Business School (CBS), etc.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills in multicultural settings.
- Proficiency in French and English is required.
- Comfortable using Office 365 tools, especially Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
