About the Role
GIFEC is hiring a Manager for its Internal Audit Unit. This position plays a key role in safeguarding the Fund’s operations through risk assessments, audits, and compliance checks. If you’re experienced in auditing and want to contribute to public sector integrity, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
- Oversee data collection for policy development
- Execute audit programs and internal controls
- Contribute to risk register and audit planning
- Ensure compliance with audit standards and financial procedures
- Assist with internal, special, and annual audits
- Support budget and work plan development for the audit unit
- Supervise audit staff and evaluate performance
- Prepare periodic and annual reports
Qualification & Experience
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or a related field
- Level II qualification with a recognized body (e.g. ICA-GH, ACCA, CPA, CIMA)
- Minimum of 1 year post-Bachelor’s experience in a relevant role
Key Competencies
- Knowledge of financial regulations and policies
- Strong communication and reporting skills
- Conflict resolution and team leadership abilities
- Proficiency in audit-related ICT tools
- Familiarity with administrative procedures in the public sector
