🚀 The Opportunity
Plan International Ghana seeks an experienced Employment and Entrepreneurship Specialist to drive our Skills Opportunities for Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship (SOYEE) agenda. You will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of youth-focused economic empowerment programs across the country.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical support for youth employment and entrepreneurship initiatives.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance employability and access to finance for young people.
- Monitor and evaluate project outcomes in line with Plan’s strategic indicators.
- Support strategic planning, results-based management, and quality reporting frameworks.
- Apply gender-transformative and inclusive approaches in all program activities.
✅ Requirements
- Master’s degree in Agronomy, Economics, Youth Economic Empowerment, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in youth employment, entrepreneurship, or economic development.
- Experience in community development, budgeting, and program evaluation in the NGO sector.
🧠 Skills & Technical Expertise
- Deep understanding of Ghanaian policies on youth employment and entrepreneurship.
- Experience with gender-transformative programming and child rights-based approaches.
- Proficiency in monitoring and evaluation, including the use of SPSS, STATA, Excel, etc.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and report writing skills.
- Knowledge of enterprise development, access to financial services, and key growth sectors in Ghana.
