🏢 About the Organization
The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) is inviting applications for the role of Senior Research Analyst within its Petroleum Studies Department. This position is based at the OPEC headquarters in Vienna, Austria.
🧠 Job Purpose
The Senior Research Analyst supports the Department Head in monitoring global oil market developments, conducting in-depth studies, and contributing to high-impact reports, presentations, and policy recommendations for OPEC member states and stakeholders.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute analytical studies on international oil market trends.
- Advise and contribute to other departmental research initiatives.
- Monitor short-term oil market and world economic developments.
- Draft and coordinate inputs for weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly departmental reports.
- Prepare high-quality presentations and support report production for governing bodies.
- Contribute to Monthly Oil Market Report articles and general features.
- Identify and maintain relevant oil market and economic datasets.
- Perform any other tasks relevant to the role and OPEC’s mission.
🎓 Requirements
- University degree in Energy Economics or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 8 years with an advanced degree.

💶 Offer
