📌 The Role
- The Registrar is the Secretary to the University Council as stated by the Act.
- Acts as the Chief Administrative Officer under the Vice-Chancellor.
- Advises and briefs the Vice-Chancellor and leads a wide scope of university operations.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of a Master’s Degree with at least 10 years’ post-qualification experience in a tertiary institution or related organization.
- Must currently hold a Deputy Registrar position or equivalent grade.
- Applicants with senior management experience in complex, decentralized institutions may also apply.
👤 The Ideal Candidate
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth understanding of academic operations within KNUST and Ghana’s higher education sector.
- Well-informed on global best practices and the evolution of modern universities.
- Capable of managing internal and external relations effectively.
- Demonstrates integrity, transparency, and strong moral principles.
- Must be eligible to complete a 5-year term before age 60.
