🏢 About the Role
AT is hiring a seasoned RF professional to lead our Radio Planning and Optimization unit. As the Head of RF Planning and Optimization, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of RF coverage, capacity planning, and network performance optimization. This role demands strong leadership, technical depth, and strategic vision to ensure our radio network aligns with quality, efficiency, and growth KPIs. You’ll report directly to the Director of Network Planning and play a key role in enhancing customer experience through seamless mobile connectivity.
🧩 Key Responsibilities
Radio Coverage and Capacity Planning:
- Customize and apply AT’s radio coverage and capacity guidelines to the local network.
- Lead the creation of the radio nominal plan with inputs from all relevant stakeholders.
- Translate strategic business objectives into actionable radio designs aligned with timelines and budget.
- Ensure optimal utilization of radio resources to maximize operational efficiency.
- Manage RF planning-related CAPEX and OPEX, contributing to core business KPIs such as EBITDA and revenue.
Radio Optimization:
- Ensure the RF network consistently meets performance thresholds and service levels.
- Monitor and drive timely resolution of “Worst Cell” cases and key performance gaps.
- Coordinate benchmarking exercises and cluster optimizations with insights driving business improvements.
- Lead trials for emerging RF technologies, optimizing deployments for new features.
- Resolve RF-related customer complaints within defined SLAs.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Telecommunication Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in RF planning, optimization, and leadership roles.
- Expertise in 2G/3G/4G network planning; introductory knowledge of 5G preferred.
- Solid background in vendor management, RFQs, and telecom contracts.
- Strong understanding of project/program management. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
